WHO Approving Russian Covid Vaccine Sputnik V To Boost Supply: Putin

The Russian President Vladimir Putin is hoping that the World Health Organization (WHO) would approve the Sputnik V Coronavirus vaccine, created within its country.

According to him, its approval by the WHO will boost its global supply and fight against the coronavirus.

Gamaleya Institute; the organization that created Russia’s Sputnik V corona-virus vaccine also initially claimed that their shot was efficient against the Omicron variant, but later said it would be modified to effectively counter the new strain.

Putin, who has been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine, hopes that getting the WHO approval would enable people that have received its shots to be permitted to travel more freely globally.
