As more cases of Omicron continue to emerge, researchers have been, to a large extent, able to get some of the symptoms of the raging Covid-19 variant.

One of the major symptoms used to detect a Covid-19 infection was the loss of smell and taste, however, according to Deseret, researchers have discovered a significant shift from the data.

According to the research, about 23% and 12% of Omicron patients did not experience the loss of taste and smell respectively, as against the previous data of 41% and 48% for the original mutation of the Covid-19 virus.

However, they were able to pull up a list of possible symptoms of the Omicron, which is similar to coronavirus. They include

  • Cold-like symptoms
  • Fever or chills
  • Night sweats
  • Cough
  • Body aches & headaches
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
