World War II veteran and senator, Bob Dole, is dead and he was reported to have died in his sleep.
His death was announced in a statement by Elizabeth Dole Foundation:
“It is with heavy hearts we announce that Senator Robert Joseph Dole died early this morning in his sleep. At his death, at age 98, he had served the United States of America faithfully for 79 years. More information coming soon. #RememberingBobDole“
Bob Dole revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in February 2021 and that he has started treatment.
The cause of his death is yet to be known at the time of writing this report.
