A police officer speaking at an event in the Police Community Relations Committee has said that the police force does not have the right to request for and search people’s phones.

“No policeman can ask for your phone unless there is a warrant…unless you are been investigated as a person, not stopping you in a checkpoint and asking for your phone,” he said.
