The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa has revealed that the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently under investigation.
Bawa claimed that the agency needs an invitation before the ‘Jagaban’ can be called to declare his assets which would take time.
According to the anti-graft agency chairman, he said;
“You asked me a question earlier regarding arresting people before an investigation and currently you are saying why didn’t we have a tendency to arrest Tinubu? Why didn’t you simply say ‘arrest him’?
“Investigation is ongoing. When you are investigating matters like this, they don’t finish in a very day. Thousands of investigations are occurring, on a daily basis.
“You understand? You recognize you are from the media. After you’ll say we are doing a media trial.”
