Shortly after Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram went down worldwide, causing a massive rumor of a possible hack and the Facebook domain has been put up for sale (another falacy), another news has been going around that the trio will be shut down again for 7 days or 168 hours!
“Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger to
shutdown again for 168 hours(7 days) I apologize for the
disruption. I know how much you rely on our services to
stay connected with the people you care about we will start
our upgrade on Wednesday October 6th 2021 – 1300 hours.“
The news was spread in the form of a supposed screenshot from Mark Zuckerberg’s verified Facebook account.
However, after due investigation, it is clear that the screenshot been shared on social media, that Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp & Messenger will be shut down for 168 hours or 7 days, is totally false!
No information relating to such can be found on the social accounts of Mark Zuckerberg.
