Alleged IPOB Member Kill Anglican Priest For Providing Security For School

Rev. Emeka Merenu have been killed by suspected members of IPOB – ESN. The Anglican Reverand Father was said to have been butchered because he brought in soldiers to provide security for students writing the ongoing WASSCE exams, going against the sit-at-home order declared by IPOB.

Rev. Emeka Merenu was the priest in charge of St Andrew’s Anglican church, Ihitte-Ukwa in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State and the school is situated within the church’s premises.

It was gathered that the suspected members of IPOB and ESN stormed the church / school’s premises and butchered the priest, they then proceeded to set his car on fire before taking off.

Casualties continued to mount as the sit at home ordered by IPOB across the five Eastern states of Nigeria continue to take a violent turn.
