Terrorism in Nigeria took another major turn for the worst after bandits reportedly shot down an alpha fighter jet, forcing the pilot to eject!

The alpha fighter jet owned by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) was flown by Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo, and was returning from an air mission around Zamfara and Kaduna state axis when it came under heavy gunfire.

The pilot escaped by ejecting from the fighter jet before it hit the ground. He then used his phone to navigate while maneuvering his way to the nearest army base, as the bandits tried to close in on him.

However, it is imperative to ask how bandits were able to shoot down a fighter jet flying close to supersonic speed and above cloud level, thousands of feet above the ground. If they really did, how did they get the much sophisticated anti-aircraft gun?
