Scientists in Siberia have successfully revived & brought back a creature or rather an animal, which has been frozen in ice for 24,000 years!
The creature that was raised back to life after 24,000 is a bdelloid rotifer. It is an aquatic animal that also has the ability to survive changing and harsh temperatures. It was discovered in the arctic region.
It is reportedly not the first time frozen creatures were discovered and brought back to life, however, this is the first time an animal has been successfully revived and brought back to functional full life after such a number of years!
How they bring frozen animals back to life? The scientists basically raise their body temperatures in a controlled environment.
However, bringing back animals that have lived hundreds of years ago back to life comes with its own risks, such as unearthing an unknown type of disease…and perhaps, having some of your sci-fi movies playback in real life!
Is this another milestone in having humans live forever and wake up through generations?
