One of the petrol stations belonging to Fatgbems was caught in bad lights by Nigerians as they sold water instead of pure petrol to motorists as well as other users.
The ugly incident occurred at a time when Nigeria was witnessing another round of fuel scarcity as rumors of petrol hitting N212 gained ground.
Video footage of the incident made rounds on social media. It showed unadulterated fuel coming out of the petrol nozzle in the fuel filling station.
The management of Fatgbems fueling station apologized and said the reason behind the water been sold as fuel was a result of the rain that fell earlier which somehow found its way inside the fuel tanks below.
The selling of adulterated fuel is not new in Nigeria, and it’s common during times of petrol scarcity. This particular one too presented itself during a time of fuel scarcity as the price of petrol is rumored to hit N212.
