Lagoon hospital located at Apapa, Lagos state was burnt by angry protesters after they refused to treat a young man shot by the Nigerian armed forces. After the man died, the protesting crowd set his body at the entrance of the hospital before setting parts of the building on fire.
However, in defense, the hospital management held that the man was already dead when he was brought in. Hospitals in Nigeria have been criticized in the past for refusing to treat cases of gunshot wounds, leading to numerous death of numerous innocent citizens.
