Its day two of the #endsarsprotest in Lagos and the tempo is twice as much! The march against SARS which started from Lekki Tollgate yesterday seems to have spread to other states in Nigeria such as Plateau and Benin City and Abuja.
The massive turnout of protesters today was greeted with some air of hope, as the matter was said to be on the table with the Federal Government. However, the youths, bearing placards with sheer determination have vowed that there won’t be any stopping them till SARS is completely dissolved or reformed as some faction hold.
Food and drinks were freely shared to keep body and spirit high, even as they stood under the light rainfall and sun. However, some lamented that some top celebrities which they looked up to have remained mute on the issue. They acknowledged that everybody cannot come out in the streets to protest but they can at least, voice out their displeasure which would go a long way.
We will sit permanently in front of Asorock until the man who is mandated by the constitution to protect us speaks to us about #EndSARS.

I Get Talk also discover that a viral video which states that a Policeman shot a girl with a gun in her mouth during the #endsarsprotest is misleading. The incident happened but was not connected with the march against SARS in Lagos.
