Bill Gates, who is popularly referred to as the owner of Microsoft, announced the passing away of his dad, William Henry Gates, at the age of 94. In his note, he credited the foundation of his charity organization- Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to his late Dad, who served as its co-chairman.
William Henry Gates also known as Bill Gates Sr. was an attorney and founder of Shidler McBroom & Gates- a law firm. He was once president of both the Seattle King County and Washington State Bar associations.
The media have been flooded with news of his passing, as well as praises for a life well-lived.
