Klondike’s popular Choco Taco, ice cream in a taco-shaped cone that was a popular Klondike item has been withdrawn from their official product line.
The well-known ice cream dessert was first created in the 1980s and sold by ice cream trucks. It wasn’t until later that Unilever, which now owns Klondike, started to sell in mass.
The taco shape sets it apart from other ice creams. This, according to Choco Taco’s creator Alan Drazen, is a game-changer.
Drazen added that the tacos might still be available as retailers go through their stock.
Companies frequently reduced their product offerings during the epidemic to assist fulfil customer demand for their most well-liked products. Even less well-known products, however, have ardent supporters who are angry about the choices.
History Of Choco Taco
In 1983, Alan Drazen, a worker at Jack and Jill Ice Cream, had the concept for the taco. Before Unilever bought the business in 1993, the product was solely offered to ice cream trucks. The name Jack and Jill was then changed to Klondike.
Taco Bell once offered the choco taco dessert, however, the item was removed from the menu in 2015. In order to commemorate Klondike’s 100th anniversary and bring back the Choco Taco for a short period, Taco Bell and Klondike teamed up in February.
