The taco shape sets it apart from other ice creams. This, according to Choco Taco’s creator Alan Drazen, is a game-changer.

Drazen added that the tacos might still be available as retailers go through their stock.

History Of Choco Taco

In 1983, Alan Drazen, a worker at Jack and Jill Ice Cream, had the concept for the taco. Before Unilever bought the business in 1993, the product was solely offered to ice cream trucks. The name Jack and Jill was then changed to Klondike.

Taco Bell once offered the choco taco dessert, however, the item was removed from the menu in 2015. In order to commemorate Klondike’s 100th anniversary and bring back the Choco Taco for a short period, Taco Bell and Klondike teamed up in February.
