Bret Michaels, the lead singer of Poison, had to postpone a concert in Nashville on Thursday “due to an unforeseen medical problem” that required hospitalization.

The 59-year-old rocker was scheduled to perform at the Nissan Stadium, but he and his band were forced to cancel minutes before showtime, according to the Tennessean. He has been touring with Poison, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The concert proceeded as scheduled when his bandmates from Poison announced the news on stage.

The “Talk Dirty to Me” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” singer extended his “deepest apologies for being unable to rock the stage,” but did not comment on his illness.

Although Michaels’ representatives did not immediately respond Friday to The Times’ demands for confirmation, TMZ claimed that Michaels was treated at a nearby hospital for a drug reaction.

On June 16, the all-star Stadium Tour began in Atlanta and was scheduled to last for three and a half months. The following stops include performances on Saturday in Florida and Sunday in Mississippi. Before ending the North American tour in Las Vegas on September 9, Poison and the other performers are slated to perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on August 27.
