Reports have it that some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have sued and asked the court to disqualify the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu from contesting in the 2023 general election.

It was accounted that suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/774/2022 list the former governor and APC as first and second defendants, while the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is listed as the third defendant.

The group seeks the high court order of checking Tinubu’s educational background and as well as his date of birth to determine whether he can participate in the APC primaries or any other political party.

They also seek the court jurisdiction stating that the ‘Jagaban’ “cannot participate by presenting himself in any primary elections with any political party in Nigeria to be nominated as a presidential aspirant for the 2023 general election.”
