Brentford has earned its first away victory in the Premier League since the commencement of the new season with a commanding 2-0 against West Ham United, denting the record of Nuno Espirito Santo’s first home game as West Ham United manager at home.
Brentford, sitting in 13th place in the Premier League this season, has recorded four losses, drawn one, and won three in its last eight matches of the domestic league.
The visitors have no wins in their last three matches in their opponent’s home. But they took charge of the game against West Ham United with goals from Igor Thiago and Mathias Jensen fired into the net of West Ham United to seal the win.
The loss adds to many of West Ham’s inconsistencies this season, leaving them above only Wolves in the Premier League table. They sit in 19th place.
Brentford scored the first goal before the halftime whistle was blown, capitalising on the failure of West Ham to convert a long ball. Igor Thiago received an assist from Kevin Schade and fired a low shot that passed through Alphonse Areola to record the first goal.
