
Rapper Dax took to social media to congratulate his parents on their 38th anniversary of their marriage.
“ALL LOVE goes to my parents today”, he wrote as he posed between his father and mother. The Canadian-born rapper of Nigerian origin also gave more insight into his parents.
Dax, real and full name, Daniel Nwosu Jr, disclosed that his parents were born in Nigeria before they immigrated to St John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, 35 years ago, and that they were from the Igbo tribe, although his father was born in the popular Lagos state, and speaks Yoruba fluently.
In the post, he thanked his parents for his upbringing and lamented the dire challenges new generations will face growing up in the midst of social media, and said he would continue with his work of creating thought-provoking music.
The 31-year-old’s music centers on rap and Hip-Hop that focuses on general mental health, personal struggles, faith in God, addiction, and personal growth.
He also used the X post to announce the release of his new song tomorrow on YouTube, as well as his North American tour that will kick off on October 23.
