Deniz Undav did an outstanding job as he returned from injury to VfB Stuttgart’s squad with a 1-0 decisive goal against Augsburg in a tough Bundesliga battle.
Deniz Undav, a forward for Germany, has not been able to feature in many matches since November due to his injury and made a quick impact as one who came in in the second half as a substitute, netting his sixth goal in just ten Bundesliga matches that he featured in under head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
After the game, Undav said, “It is amazing to be back. I’m happy that I helped the team with a goal.”
He added, “However, I prefer to highlight our performance without the ball. The praise is also deserved for the boys in defense, and not just me.”
Undav also acknowledged the defensive resilience of VfB Stuttgart after the match, noting their very good contributions in earning the clean sheet.
