Brady Singer has been traded to the Cincinnati Reds by the Kansas City Royals for outfielder Joey Wiemer and infielder Jonathan India, as announced by both teams on Friday.

Brady Singer, who is now 28 years old and 9-13 with a 3.71 ERA in a season before now, featured as a starter in 32 games for the Kansas City Royals while assisting them to a playoff berth that is unexpected.

He also started 127 games for Kansas City in more than five years, compiling a 4.28 ERA. He had his only down season last year when he had a 5.52 ERA.

27-year-old India hit .248 with a total of 15 home runs this year while he played mostly at second base. As a four-year veteran, he has a .764 careers OPS after he emerged in 2021 as the Rookie of the Year after India hit a career-high 21 home runs.

Joey Wiemer will be playing for his third team after he joined the Milwaukee Brewers last year and moved to Cincinnati this year. The 25-year-old has a career .201 batting average in 153 matches.

The contract is what both teams have been waiting for, as the Royals have been eager to include offense alongside Bobby Witt Jr. in their squad.
