Trump Hints At "The Purge Movie" A Day To Stop Violent Crimes

Former US President Donald Trump suggested setting aside one day to deal with and stop violent criminals as depicted in the thriller-horror movie “The Purge”.

Trump made the suggestion during a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday. He was talking about how the Biden administration had failed to stop criminal activities in the country when he proposed allowing the police “one real nasty day” and hour to put a permanent end to criminals such as drugsters.

“One rough hour and I mean real rough”, he referred to the period. Watch the video below:

He stated that having “one real violent day” and rough hour would let the word out and crime would end immediately, as his crowd of MAGA supporters cheered on.

Trump’s method of dealing with crime has some similarities to the film “The Purge”, where the United States approves one night a year when all forms of crime including murder are allowed in the country.

During the time of the purge, emergency services such as the police, military, or medical response are shut down and foreigners can enter the country to help the citizens purge.

According to The Purge, Americans sanctioned the day for all forms of violence and heinous crimes for many reasons. Such reasons include reducing their skyrocketing population which has been aided by good healthcare that has brought about a large portion of healthy old people.

However, as seen in the movie, most of those killed were poor and homeless people as well as people in the average class.

Politicians were also in favor of The Purge to reduce Government expenditure on social welfare.

Comments had it that Trump might have watched The Purge movie which is trending on Netflix recently and have decided to try it out in real life. They also noted a sequel of the film titled “The Purge: Election Year”, that was released in 2016, the same year that Trump was elected as president.
