Nicolas Jackson helped Chelsea to a 3-0 win against West Ham, helping Enzo Maresca’s trust with a double goal at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Jackson scored two goals in the first half before Cole Palmer added another goal for Chelsea to get their third win in the five Premier League games under their new coach.
Maresca picked Jackson as his preferred striker to start the match, despite Christopher Nkunku’s recent match-winning game.
Jackson is expected to leave the club by 2033, as he recently extended his contract and responded to the faith shown in him by continuing his strong start to the season. He already scored four goals in six matches.
The coach, Maresca, replaced Mauricio Pochettino, and he has made a promising start as Chelsea’s boss despite internal challenges. Chelsea finished sixth and twelfth in the past two seasons and now shows signs of improvement, with the teacher to hit a top-four finish.
Unlike Chelsea, West Ham has continued to struggle. West Ham’s loss against Chelsea leaves the new manager with only one win in five matches and three consecutive home defeats.
