It seems some of Hostgator servers are currently down for the past hour now. Multiple websites have been down due to the widespread outrage which reportedly cuts across its hosting tiers.
According to Down Detector which monitors service downtimes, multiple complaints on websites hosted on Hostgator not available due to 500-521 server error downtime have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The most reported problems on Hostgator according to Downdetector’s live outage and reported problems map were majorly server connection downtime which represented 53%. Following it was website and login issues at 29% and 18% respectively.
A major spike could be seen on the downtime graph on September 10, 2024, at about 5 pm. The downtime started at about 4.16 pm and continued into the night before nilling off in the early hours of the following day. However, it resumed shortly after noon on September 11.
Hostgator ranks amongst the best hosting providers and can be compared to top companies like Bluehost and GoDaddy, offering similar service plans for websites and WordPress hosting and domains.
