Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest remained unbeaten since the new Premier League season started; this time both teams thought they could break the record by one defeating the other, but it ended in a 2-2 draw as the two teams ended the game with 10 and both coaches were sent off in a heated disagreement on Sunday.
Nottingham Forest was the first team to score when Chris Wood turned a penalty in the 13th minute into a goal after a foul that was committed by Carlos Baleba against Callum Hudson-Odoi.
But Brighton made a deserving comeback before the end of the first half, as the team scored twice in quick succession. Jack Hinshelwood’s beautiful header made the game a draw in the 42nd minute, and Danny Welbeck converted a free kick that went beyond the goalkeeper to put Brighton in the lead.
Forest did not relent despite the setback as they fought and were rewarded when Ramon Sosa, who came in as a substitute, scored from a close range in the 70th minute to make the game a draw.
Tensions mount up as Morgan Gibbs-White gets a second yellow card for a rough attack on an opponent, reducing Forest’s players to 19 men, while both coaches are dismissed from the sidelines.
Both teams are both on nine points from their first five matches; while Brighton currently sits in the seventh place on the Premier League table, Forest is in the eighth.
