The surveillance video showed when a woman identified as Rickesha Denise Overton shot her lady friend, Alisia DeCoteau, multiple times at the Ellis Court Apartments in Seattle in March.
Footage from the CCTV shows the DeCoteau exiting the apartment. She was quickly followed by the Overton who drew a gun at her, startling her.
The deceased woman was physically assaulted out of the building, and while she sat on the ground sobbing, Overton, who had gone inside, came back and fired two shots at her at close range.
The killer tried to fire more shots at her but her gun jammed. Enraged, Denise Overton proceeded to kick Alisia DeCoteau’s body while raining profanity, while she was still alive.
The video had her saying to concerned neighbors that DeCoteau had tried to kill her, and at another moment, she drew her gun at them.
According to court documents, the women were friends and it was not the first time Overton had attacked DeCoteau. In January, Overton was arrested in the same building for assaulting the deceased.
