Lazio coach Igor Tudor is eager to reunite with Fiorentina midfielder Antonin Barak, aiming to recreate their successful partnership from their time together at Hellas Verona.
Barak, 29, has been a consistent presence in Serie A since his move from Slavia Prague to Udinese in 2017. However, it was under Tudor’s guidance at Verona, particularly during the 2021/22 season, that he truly flourished.
Operating as an attacking midfielder alongside Gianluca Caprari and Giovanni Simeone, Barak played a pivotal role in Verona’s unprecedented success.
Since his move to Fiorentina, Barak has struggled to secure a regular starting position under Vincenzo Italiano. Despite making 26 appearances across all competitions this season, he has mostly been utilized as a substitute, contributing four goals in total.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Tudor is eyeing a reunion with Barak as part of his squad overhaul at Lazio in the upcoming transfer window.
With Fiorentina reportedly willing to sell Barak for €10 million, the midfielder could potentially fill the void left by Luis Alberto, who has expressed his desire to depart Lazio in the summer, although Barak possesses different playing attributes compared to the Spanish midfielder.
