Katy Perry Mocks Charlie Puth After Swift's Shout-Out

American Hip-hop icon Katy Perry mocked singer Charlie Putt, after award-winning artiste Taylor Swift referenced him in a verse.

Swift released her new album, The Tortured Poets Department on April 19.

“You smokеd then ate seven bars of chocolate, We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist,” the 34-year-old sings in the second verse.

After a snippet of the song was leaked online on Wednesday, fans found it hilarious. Some did not believe that the reference was actually from Taylor.

Puth has not responded yet, but he posted a picture of his fiancée, Brooke Sansone, on Thursday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE,” the 31-year-old wrote in all capital letters.

“I AM SO LUCKY TO BE WITH YOU FOREVER. ALSO YOU ARE SO INSANELY PRETTY I CAN’T TAKE IT. I CAN’T WAIT TO SPEND A MILLION MORE BIRTHDAYS WITH YOU SWEET BOOK.”

While most celebrity’s comments on the post seemed normal, one had other thoughts.

“Why are you shouting,” pop star Katy Perry wrote. Her comment received almost 12,000 likes and over 100 replies.

Although Swift suggested Puth should “be a bigger artist” in The Tortured Poets Department, the singer-songwriter seems to be doing just fine.

Other big names referenced in Tortured Poets include legendary singer and poet Patti Smith, writer Dylan Thomas, silent film actress Clara Bow, and Fleetwood Mac star Stevie Nicks.
