Hulu has recently released a highly acclaimed new series, “Death and Other Details,” a mystery set on a luxurious ship teeming with potential murder suspects.
The creative minds behind the show, Heidi Cole McAdams and Mike Weiss, sat down with Hosea Sanders to discuss the inspiration behind the captivating mysteries that unfold throughout the series.
The central plot revolves around the mysterious death of a passenger during a sailing expedition, casting a veil of suspicion over everyone on board attempting to evade blame.
Weiss encourages viewers to pay meticulous attention to the unfolding details, asserting that by doing so, one can successfully unravel the murder mystery by the story’s conclusion.
McAdams shared that her academic background involved studying murder mysteries during her college years.
Notably, both McAdams and Weiss share a familiarity with the city of Chicago, adding a personal touch to their involvement in the project.
“I wrote for ‘Chicago P.D.’ for a number of years. I think a Chicago audience is a very humanistic audience; I think they are going to be there for memorable characters, and they want to be there for a story that has real teeth,” Weiss said. “I think the Chicago audience is going to be quite there for this.”
