According to Philipp Kessler, Boateng would join team practice at the Säbener Straße before joining the initial squad early the following week.

Jerome Boateng played at Bayern Munich for eleven years, winning two Champions League titles, five DFB-Pokals, and nine Bundesliga championships.

It is not yet known if the 35-year-old will sign a deal for the remainder of the season or for a period of six months.
