Everybody has the same question while playing Diablo 4 – Where is my horse?
The horse is a major new feature of Diablo 4, and that did not exist in past games. But the answer is no, you did not miss some side quest or anything you might have been thinking – you just have to wait a while until you get your horse!
You will get your horse at the beginning of Act 4 in Diablo 4. There are six Acts in Diablo 4 and Act 3 is the longest.
You will be given a task – a question called Mount: Doran’s Favor, which starts Act 4. This will take you to Kyovashad, where you’ll be spending a lot of time, and subsequently get your horse.
One good thing about the game is that once you do this on one character, you will not need to do it again on others, all other characters on your account will have access to the horse from the start.
The horse is a big fixture for microtransaction cosmetics in Diablo 4. So much so that it feels like it was almost created for that purpose alone.
It is also suspected that in time there will be other non-horse mounts you can get, but this is where we’re starting. It’s not just that you can end up getting different kinds of horses (which gameplay-wise, all function the same), you can also get adornments for your horse.
Some will indeed be earned, like the Ashava horn that players got for beating the World Boss during the beta. Others, no doubt, will be sold.
The horse seems quite strange while playing the game, given the ability to run past mobs of enemies while moving from one place to another.
Although the map is big, there are quite a few fast-travel points, so a horse will be very much needed, if they just could have added a few more waypoints. The TP system was also changed so it’s more difficult to keep them open. But for sure, the horse cannot be used inside dungeons or interior quest areas, so you still have to kill everything there.
