Morgan Wallen Cancels Mississippi Concert Show Due To Lost Voice

Morgan Wallen Cancels Mississippi Concert Show Due To Voice Issue

Morgan Wallen abruptly canceled his appearance at a concert in Oxford, Mississippi, due to a lost voice, after thousands of fans have already entered the venue – Vaught Hemingway Stadium on Sunday night.

Video boards inside the Ole Miss football stadium displayed a message informing attendees that Wallen had lost his voice and as a result, would not be able to play his show.

“Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight. Therefore, tonight’s show has been canceled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase,” the message read.

Wallen played a show at the same stadium the day before, on Saturday night, which was the first major concert in the venue’s history.

“After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better. I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing,” Morgan Wallen wrote on social media.

“All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could,” he added.

The abrupt cancellation left many fans aggrieved, with a number venting their anger on social media.

Hardy, Ernest, and Nate Smith performed as scheduled before Wallen’s cancellation announcement came up.

His next scheduled tour date is at Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Van Andel Arena, on April 27.
