A 9-year-old girl has been depressed from the many online abuse and bullying she has received after a video of her taunting Ronaldo, saying he was crying all the way to the airport after his country, Portugal, was defeated by her country, Morocco, in the World Cup.

In the video which is now viral, she was seen after a cut from other Moroccan fans asking “where is Ronaldo”, “where is Cristiano”, then adding that Portugal lost and Ronaldo is at the airport.

The little girl then said that Ronaldo was crying in his car, closing her remarks with “poor Ronaldo”!

However, her remarks did not go well with many Ronaldo and Portuguese fans. It was reported that she has been getting a series of online bullying and hate after her comments, and is currently depressed; refusing to eat, sleep, or talk with anybody.

The girl’s parents have reportedly come out to apologize on behalf of their daughter and seek an end to the social media bullying she has been receiving.

The tweet translates to English: “The Moroccan girl’s mother apologizes to Cristiano Ronaldo fans for the video that has gone viral. Harassed on the networks and by comrades, the latter no longer has the appetite.”

“She was only repeating what she was hearing around her…They are childish movements… She is still young, she’s nine years old, and she wanted to express her joy, but unfortunately, she was a victim of social media. I apologize to all of Cristiano Ronaldo’s fans for what happened. Please consider her as your younger sister because she was not serious about what she said.” Her mother was reported to have said.
