I was scrolling through my feed the other time when I came across this scene from The Simpsons that showed leaders and representatives from media houses at a round table meeting discussing how best to release a new pandemic, and referring to it as a “phony baloney crisis”.
In that episode, the new health crisis came out in the form of a virus/ flu, and was dubbed the house-cat virus, so that it’s spread, which will be rapid, can be blamed on something Americans have in common.
The Simpsons also trolled NBC, depicting the news house as the least fellow in the secret coven. The NBC character was subsequently used as a test subject and first point of infection after he was injected with the deadly virus. He would then spread it to others.
After watching the clip, I did a quick investigation and discovered that the video is not true. The Simpsons really created a “House Cat flu” episode, which was based on past events, but it was edited to lock into the fears and unverified rumours that the COVID-19 virus and pandemic were purposefully created.
Despite the existence of many “unverified rumours claiming that the coronavirus pandemic and spread was purposefully engineered, one should note that none of them have been “substantiated officially”, and utmost care must be taken when giving opinions on health-related matters.
The Simpsons is also a mere cartoon, though it has been cited to have revealed many events in its episodes that somewhat came to reality – it is still a cartoon, and there exist some misconceptions, such as when it was claimed to have predicted rapper Jay-Z, which wasn’t true, although the characters share the same resemblance.
And yes, I know all about “hidden in plain sight” and the talks on having to let the populace know, and somewhat agree. But let’s leave them aside, afterall what we see on our tel-a-visions are mostly for entertainment purposes, unless of course, the news from NBC, CNN, and other major news media.
Remember, be good citizens, brush your teeth daily with fluoride toothpaste, obey your Government, believe what the authoritative mainstream news media tells you, and don’t question or ask “foolish” questions.
