England’s head coach, Gareth Southgate has named his 26-man squad in various orders for the 2022 World Cup event.
Fans were contemplating whether James Maddison, Ivan Toney, James Ward-Prowse, Jarrod Bowen and Joe Gomez would make the cut.
For the Goalkeepers in the England squad, Southgate picked Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Newcastle), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal).
For the full squad England defenders, Southgate picked Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Ben White (Arsenal).
Although there were speculations that Manchester United’s Harry Maguire would not make the cut, he did, along with Harry Maguire (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Conor Coady (Everton), Luke Shaw (Manchester United).
For the midfield squad, he picked Declan Rice (West Ham), Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City), Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Mason Mount (Chelsea), James Maddison (Leicester), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea).
For the squad striking squad, he picked Harry Kane (Tottenham), Callum Wilson (Newcastle), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Jack Grealish (Manchester City).
England would start their world cup campaign on the 21st of November, 2022, a day after the opening ceremony commences.
Gareth Southgate may also decide to involve Danny Welbeck in his squad, as the Brighton forward has proved to be on top in the Premier League.
