Here is a brief recap and highlights of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers which ended in a 40-33 loss to the latter.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers started the game with a sore thumb but not only ended with his team defeated, but he also left the match prematurely with a broken rib. He left the game in the third quarter and was replaced by Jordan Love.
He is scheduled to undergo further medical tests and X-ray, to determine the severity of his injury, and if he would be fit to play in Week 13.
Rodgers had initially sustained the injury in the second quarter and tried to put up with it through the third while visibly being in pain. Jordan Love who took over finished with 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards.
Overall, Love’s performance was impressive with some good tosses, but the Green Bay Packer’s overall defense seemed poor, with the Philadelphia Eagles’ Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts having a field day.
The Green Bay Packers cornerbacks, notably Rasul Douglas, and the safeties’ performance left much to be desired too.
The Packers had much of missed tackles.
The third downs on both sides of the Eagles and Packers were poor.
Darnell Savage also left the game with a foot injury.
AJ Dillon’s performance could be taken as his best so far this year.
In all, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers game was a memorable one with the Eagles inducting Trent Cole and Hugh Douglas into the franchise’s Hall of Fame and revealing the new all-black uniforms. Jalen Hurts also set a franchise record for most rushing yards by a quarterback with 157 and running back Miles Sanders set a peak of 143 rushing yards.
