The family of WWE’s Sarah Lee, winner of the sixth edition of ‘Tough Enough ‘ announced that the athlete passed away on Thursday at the age of 30.
Days after she posted a gym photo, her mum Terri Lee announce Sarah’s death in a heart-wrenching post on social media:
“It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn.”
Sara Lee competed on WWE’s ‘Tough Enough’ during the show’s sixth season back in 2015, which she won, against all odds.
She was praised for her strength and outlasted all of the other females in the program to earn a one-year contract from the WWE.
Sarah Lee wrestled and performed for the WWE for most of 2016 in NXT, but was ultimately released in September of that year.
She went on to wrestle on the independent circuit. She married Westin Blake in 2017 and they have three kids together.
Although no cause of death has been announced by the family, it seems Lee was dealing with Sinus infection, and she couldn’t go back to the gym till early this week.
She posted a beautiful gym selfie with the caption:
“Celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row ?? first ever sinus infection kicked my butt.”
May her soul rest in peace.
