Thousands of Palestinians came out to mourn after five of their own were killed defending their land against Israeli attacks.
Five Palestinians were killed defending their country during an Israeli assault targeting the Lions Den resistance group in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
According to local reports, Israeli forces fired antitank missiles at a building believed to contain Palestine militants, killing civilians instead.
The Israeli army also claimed that it destroyed a makeshift weapons workshop belonging to the Palestinian militant group.
Those killed in confrontations between the Palestine resistance and the Israeli invaders in Nablus were identified by the health ministry as Hamdi Subeih Qim, 30, Ali Khaled Antar, 26, Hamdi Muhammad Sabri Sharaf, 35, and Mishaal Zahi Baghdadi, 27.
Another civilian in a village near the West bank was also killed, while the army claimed he threw a bomb at them which was why he was shot.
20 citizens were also reported injured during the bloody spree.
Israeli live fire hit Qusai al-Tamimi in the chest, according to the health ministry, killing him.
Thousands of Palestinians turned up for his funeral and that of the rest of the deceased, as the village had seen many of its inhabitants killed by the occupation during years of unarmed resistance against Israel’s theft of its land for colonial settlements.
Israeli forces routinely lie about events to justify killing Palestinians so Israeli army assertions cannot be taken at face value.
Before they released their public statement, the Israeli army had said that no soldiers were injured during Tuesday’s attacks on Palestinians throughout the West Bank.
