Jason Momoa may be a new “Fast and Furious” villain, but in a brand-new Nike commercial, the ageless actor plays Father Time, the greatest menace of all.
In advance of LeBron James’ 20th season in the league, the “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” actor squares up against the NBA legend. Momoa challenges James to a series of physical tests as well as a karaoke sing-off while sporting a lengthy gray beard and aged makeup. “The clock is ticking, but LeBron isn’t going anywhere,” states the Nike advertisement.
Can the king beat the clock? asks the official tagline. On October 22, 2022, combat starts.
The LeBron XX, James’ 20th signature shoe with Nike and a star in “Space Jam” and “Trainwreck,” is unveiled.
This year, Momoa has also come to terms with Father Time, looking back on his two-decade career that began with “Baywatch.” The “Minecraft” star acknowledged that, among some of his previous flicks, “Conan the Barbarian,” from 2011, was “made into a giant pile of trash.”
