Former England midfielder, Fabian Delph has retired from football at the age of 32 after playing for major clubs in the Premier League.

Delph has covered 20 caps for England and the 32-year-old made more than 200 appearances for Leeds United, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Everton.

He also won the Premier League title twice with Manchester City and reached the FA Cup and League Cup finals with Aston Villa.

Taking to his Instagram to announce his retirement, Delph wrote:

“I feel nothing but happiness and gratitude for what this beautiful game has given me.”

“Massive shout out to my family, friends, players, and staff from the amazing clubs I have been fortunate enough to represent as well as the support I have had from the fans.”

The midfielder retired from Premier League giants, Everton as a free agent, after his time there was plagued with injuries. He hanged his boots at the early age of 32.

Fabian played for England in the 2018 World Cup where they lost by 2 goals to one to Croatia in the semifinals.
