Because his congregations in Kansas City failed to give him enough money to buy a new Movado watch, the pastor lashes out at them, calling them “poor, impoverished, and disgusted.”

When a Missouri pastor reportedly gave a sermon on “taking care of God’s shepherd,” he reportedly berated his “poor” congregation for not honouring him with an expensive new watch he wanted a year earlier.

Kansas City pastor Carlton Funderburke was caught on camera calling his congregation “poor, broke, busted, and disgusted” after they still haven’t bought him a pricey Movado watch he’s been requesting since last year. These watches range in price from $395 to $3,295.

‘I’m not worth your McDonald’s money? Am I not worth your money Red Lobster? he asked the Church at the Well congregation as he paced the stage on August 7.
‘I’m not worth your Louis Vuitton? Am I not worth your Prada? Am I not worth your Gucci?

He later uploaded an apology video on Tuesday, claiming that the one he had originally shared “does not reflect my heart or my love for God’s people.”

“Thank you for your support, to those who know and love me,” he remarked. “For those of you who only know me now because of this music video, I apologise if your initial reaction to me is one of rage, hostility, or resentment.
