After defeating Alex Perez at UFC 277 on Saturday, Alexandre Pantoja increased his chances of winning the title.
With a first-round submission victory over Perez (23-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) in a championship-contending flyweight contest, Pantoja (25-5 MMA, 9-3 UFC) increased his winning run to three fights.
In the main card fight at the Dallas American Airlines Center, the Brazilian outperformed Perez with the help of his superior jiu-jitsu, winning the round and raising his hand.
Pantoja and Perez pursued it without wasting any time. At the starting bell, they charged one another and threw erratic blows.
