<p>A 2019 article by EarMilk described Neiked as a “Stockolm collective,” formed by Swedish artists, producers, writers, and vocalists.</p>



<p>Their 2016 release, Sexual, inspired by Mavin Gaye’s Sexual healing, became a hit and propelled the group to stardom. Sexual is currently at about 369 million streams.</p>



<p>Neiked was formed by Victor Rådström and Mikael Rabus after attempts by the former to get a record deal proved futile.</p>



<p>The group has appeared on BBC Live Lounge and collaborated on several songs with artists like Polo G, MIMI, Miriam Bryant, Mae Muller and others.</p>

<p>“Victor has explained in interviews that, while he’s technically the face of the NEIKED project, others fall under the umbrella of the Neiked Collective as a whole. He told Thomas Bleach, “I guess I’m the main music maker and then the other members do a bunch of different things like visuals, art, playing live, remixing management etc. </p>



<p>The plan from the beginning was to just release songs that were too bold or different for other acts to release/ We wanted to combine this with pop records in different flavours.” Throughout his time making music as NEIKED, Victor has stayed private, often hiding his face with hats or glasses and sharing little personal information on social media. </p>



<p>He’s explained that this behavior is the result of not being a fan of the spotlight. Overall, Victor seems to prefer being a team player and sharing his creativity with others rather than trying to be a star.”</p>
