The president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) identified as Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan is announced dead at the age of 73.
Sheikh Khalifa’s death was confirmed by the UAE state media which disclosed that he has been struggling with an illness (name undisclosed) for several years.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced that the late president will be mourned for 40 days with a flag starting from Friday as public holidays have been declared for the first three days.
