<p>Nicholas Scott Cannon, better known as Nick Cannon, is an American rapper, actor, comedian, record producer, and entrepreneur.</p>



<p>He is also a radio and television host! He is famous for being the host of the hit reality show ‘America’s Got Talent’ and also for hosting ‘The Nick Cannon Show.’ After starting his acting career as a teenager on the TV show ‘All That,’ Cannon went on to appear in several TV shows and has even acted in a handful of films.</p>



<p>As a rapper, he released his debut self-titled album in 2003 with the single &#8220;Gigolo&#8221;, a collaboration with singer R. Kelly.</p>



<p>In 2007, he played the role of the fictional footballer TJ Harper in the film Goal II: Living the Dream. In 2006, Cannon recorded the singles &#8220;Dime Piece&#8221; and &#8220;My Wife&#8221; for the planned album Stages, which was never released.</p>

<p>Nicholas Scott Cannon was born on October 8, 1980, in San Diego, California, to parents James Cannon, a televangelist, and Beth Hackett, an accountant. His parents separated when he was young, so he grew up shuttling between California and North Carolina.</p>



<p>At the age of 8, Nick Cannon got the performance bug after his grandfather gave him several musical instruments. Soon after, he switched from music to stand-up comedy when he was invited to perform on his father&#8217;s public access show. It wasn&#8217;t long before a teenage Cannon was working in well-known comedy clubs.</p>

<p>Cannon released a self-titled album in 2003. He&#8217;s also collaborated with other big names on various music projects, including Kanye West, P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, and R. Kelly. Because of his strong musical ties, he was a natural host of the nationally syndicated radio show Cannon&#8217;s Countdown. After the show&#8217;s premiere in 2011, Cannon decided to leave the Top 40 countdown two years down the line.</p>

<p>Nick Cannon created, hosted, and produced the MTV comedy series ‘Wild &#8216;N Out’ in 2005. The same year, he hosted Nickelodeon&#8217;s 2005 ‘Kids&#8217; Choice Awards.’ After this, he served as the DJ on the ‘Bigger, Longer, and Wider’ show.</p>

<p>Cannon has been married once, to Maria Carey, from 2008 to 2016, and their relationship bore two children &#8211; twins. As of June 2025, he has a total of 12 children from 5 different women.</p>

<p>Cannon married singer-songwriter Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008, at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas.</p>



<p> On April 30, 2011, Carey gave birth to fraternal twins: daughter Monroe and son Moroccan Scott. After six years of marriage, the pair separated and filed for divorce in 2014, but reunited briefly in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.</p>



<p>Cannon has two children with model Brittany Bell: a son, Golden, born February 2017, and a daughter, Powerful Queen, born December 2020.</p>



<p>In June 2021, his twin sons, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, with DJ Abby De La Rosa, were born. Later that month, on June 23, his seventh child, a son, Zen, with model Alyssa Scott, was born. Zen died of brain cancer at five months old, on December 5, 2021.</p>



<p>In January 2022, Cannon announced he is expecting a baby boy with model Bre Tiesi.</p>
