Today is another anniversary of world radiography day, celebrated on 8 November every year as recognized by the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists.

World radiography day is been celebrated to mark the discovery of X-ray technology in 1985.

This year’s 2021 world radiography day which is sponsored by Bayer is aimed at promoting public awareness on the usefulness and application of radiography and X-ray technology in everyday living, especially in health care.

The history of radiography and X-ray can be traced to Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who on the evening of November 8. 1895, discovered X-ray and took the first X-ray shots of the interior of metal objects and the bones in his wife’s hand.
