Earlier this week, Lufthansa confirmed a turbulent arrival for its flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Boeing 747-8, captured on video by LA-based Airline Videos Live, experienced a rough landing, bouncing off the runway before initiating a second attempt at touchdown.
In the footage, the commentator’s astonishment is palpable as the aircraft struggles to land, with remarks like “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” underscoring the severity of the situation. Eventually, after circling the airport, the plane safely landed on its second try, much to the relief of onlookers.
Designated as a “training flight,” Flight LH 456 carried 326 passengers and 19 crew members. Despite the harrowing ordeal, no injuries were reported, according to a statement provided to FOX 11 Los Angeles.

Following the incident, the aircraft returned safely to Germany, where an airline spokesperson confirmed that no issues were detected upon inspection, as reported by FOX Business.
