As Janet Jackson’s “Together Again” tour pauses her show at Cowtown, she and her group are enjoying their period in Fort Worth.
Jackson will be performing again tonight at Dickies Arena with special guest Nelly.
Jackson and her team, including roadies, dancers, and background singers, enjoyed a fun-filled day at Burger’s Lake, a family-friendly swimming spot on the southeast corner of Lake Worth, as evidenced in a 7-minute video that was uploaded to her Facebook page.
The female pop legend and her tour crew engaged in many activities that included pickleball, backyard games including potato sack racing, 20-foot-tall carnival rides, enjoying BBQ, and getting mock Mike Tyson facial tattoos. The fun-filled day looks like an episode of The Brady Bunch.
Jackson’s tour schedule revealed that the group has been on the road since June 4. After their performance in Atlanta on July 21, they took a four-day break without engaging in any shows, making this a much-needed hiatus.
The video, which was slightly muted due to potential copyright issues with Jackson’s own song, revealed a member of the team explaining how he was bitten by mosquitoes on his legs during outdoor amphitheater shows while applying bug spray—a smart move given the outdoor setting at Burger’s Lake.
It also looks like the group got catering from the popular local barbecue joint, Heim, according to a Fort Worth perspective. One of Heim’s employees also received a speaking part in the video that was shared on Jackson’s page.
Janet Jackson will be on the stage again tonight at Dickies Arena, and tickets are still very much available.
