The Milwaukee Bucks face uncertainty as star player Giannis Antetokounmpo is doubtful for Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers due to a calf injury, the team revealed on Monday.

Despite Antetokounmpo’s potential absence, the Bucks showcased resilience in Game 1, securing a convincing 109-94 victory, buoyed by Damian Lillard’s impressive 35-point performance.

Antetokounmpo has been grappling with a left soleus strain for several weeks, sustained during a game against the Boston Celtics on April 9. His absence from the final regular-season matches and his doubtful status for Game 1 underscored the severity of the injury.

Coach Doc Rivers clarified that although Antetokounmpo was sidelined on Monday, he had been actively involved in team workouts, attributing his absence to a scheduled “maintenance day.”

Despite his injury setback, Antetokounmpo has maintained his stellar form, averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and a career-best 6.5 assists this season.

Game 2 of the first-round series is set for Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT, with the Bucks facing a pivotal matchup against the Pacers. Following the game, they will enjoy a two-day break before traveling to Indiana for Game 3 on Friday.
