For those eagerly awaiting confirmation on the latest Houston Texans logo and the anticipated ‘H-Town’ helmet, owner Cal McNair has just provided the answer.
Following the posting of a brief video on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a helmet fitting the description of the H-Town design, McNair decided to embrace the moment, sharing a photo on social media donning a cap adorned with the new logo.
Adding a touch of whimsy to the snapshot, McNair ensured his dog, Tex, joined in the fun, sporting a chain with the new “H” emblem, confirming the fresh look.
Upon the post’s emergence, fans expressed mixed reactions to the helmet. While some saw it as an improvement over the longstanding bull logo since the team’s inception in 2002, others weren’t as enthusiastic as anticipated when the franchise announced new threads for the 2024 season last year.
Featuring a Deep Steel Blue base with a light blue “H” symbolizing “H-Town,” accented with a red outline, the helmet’s design stands out. With the uniform still under wraps, perhaps the combination will meet fans’ expectations when finally revealed.
The team’s X account also acknowledged the leak a few hours later with a leaky faucet GIF, joining in the playful response.
This isn’t the first time McNair and the organization have navigated a leak. Previously, a user shared a photo of a model wearing the away jersey at a private unveiling for select fans.
McNair confirmed the new look on Reddit, sharing a clearer image featuring receivers Tank Dell and Nico Collins donning the uniforms. The away designs retain the traditional Liberty white jerseys and Deep Steel blue pants.
With two full uniforms and another jersey set for release next Tuesday, fans can only hope for no further surprises leading up to the debut of Houston football’s new era.
